Jan, HAHA. I should copy & post my grooming nightmare thread here from a couple of months ago! She wouldn't let me touch her with either comb or wood pin brush. So I bought the grooming arm & loop, drug out an old table & set everything up. From that moment things started to change. Each time got much better. Thanks to so many people encouraging & helping me thru it. This morning when I bathed her, she was a perfect angel. Blowing her dry is sooo much easier when I can use 2 hands. She's not as perfect blowing her dry & brushing her out, but 95% there. I'm surely not complaining! But I am able to comb/brush her every day & only takes a few minutes. She knows when the loop goes on that it's business & let's just get it done.
She's just growing & maturing so much. She just gets easier & easier each week to handle in general. Actually, I think she's caving to the rules! If she hasn't gotten away with it by now, she isn't going to. I know, they can't reason like that, but it sure seems like it sometimes. The demand barking is much, much better than it was, that about drove me nuts. It seemed like things would just "click" with her & she'd get the message of what I wanted her to do or stop doing. Persistance & routine is certainly something I learned from this forum.
