Car Safety reminder

Just wanted to take a minute to remind everyone to put your dog in a safety harness EVERYTIME they go in the car with you.

Last evening I was just going to the post office to mail off a few bills when I was broadsided in an intersection. I had both dogs with me in the car. Thank God they were buckled into their car harnesses in the back seat. The other car was not going that fast but I am very sore today and the boys were very quiet last night, just laid around in their beds, no playing like normal. Maddux vomitted once last night after we got home. I think he was just shaken up by all the excitement. He seems fine today.

It takes a few extra seconds to hook them up but it is so worth it even if you are just going a few blocks in your own neighborhood like I was. I can only imagine if I had been on a highway.

I am glad that all of you are okay. How scary, especially with them in the car.

Thanks for the reminder. The post office, atm, and Dunkin Donuts are a block away and I must admit there have been a few times I was in a rush and did not strap her in.

Glad you are all ok.

Yikes, Kim! I'm glad everyone is ok.

Neither Momo nor Ume likes to get their harness put on. Ume runs all around the house, trying to escape the dreaded harness and Momo just plasters herself against something and tries to make herself really small. They don't understand that it's for their own safety.

I'm glad to hear you and the pups are ok. That's so scary! Thank you for the reminder because I'm guilty of not always strapping then in....

That's very scary. They say that most accidents happen close to home. Glad you're all okay though.

Thank goodness you are all OK. That happened to me when I was coming home from a vet visit with my cat. Luckily he was in his carrier and the accident was a minor one.
