The Hotel Union Square is listed as being dog-friendly and a boutique-style hotel.

The Crowne Plaza will also allow Havanese, but requires a $100 deposit, that appears to be refundable. You may want to check on the terms of getting that deposit back.

Here is a list of hotels in S.F. from dogfriendly.com, but they are all over The City, not just Union Square. Keep in mind that the red astericks are from advertisers; they are not a higher rating from dogfriendly.com.

Can you remind me - when is Fleet Week? My dad and my husband were totally into it, but I haven't paid much attention to it.

In October? Darn. I am totally swamped those days.

Oh, I love Catalina Island. I went there a couple of years ago, but it was just for the day. I should have stayed a couple of days.

Oh, I love Catalina Island. It's so pretty there.
Back in the days when I was dating, one boyfriend was a pilot and flew me over there. We landed on the private airstrip and had lunch at the cafe attached to it. I was eating a buffalo burger and looked up on the wall and there were a bunch of buffalo heads starting at me like, HOW DARE YOU EAT MY RELATIVE. That was it for the burger. Didn't help much to look out the window and see the buffalo roaming out there either.
When my daughter got home from school she asked what I did that day. I told her I flew a plane , got to see the entire island from the air, had lunch there and came home.
She said, oh come on, what did you really do. I said I really did what I said. She said again, come on Mom, what did you REALLY do today. So I told her I just laid around the house. She said she hoped I had a more interesting day the next day.
Then I told her to take an umbrella to school the next day since there were dark clouds coming in. She looked at the blue sky and listened to the weatherman and was ready to have me committed. The next day it poured and she got home from school and said, "you really DID go there, didn't you?"
Duh
