Walking Two Dogs

For those of you who walk multiple dogs, do you use separate leashes or a single leash with a coupler? If you use a coupler, are the 4" ones long enough?

I use the coupler! That size is fine...my only problem is that Austin carries (chews) Ollies in his mouth so it is starting to frey ...so looks like an annual investment in our household!

When we walk all three, Lily is on her own leash with DH, and Logan & Lexi are on one leash with a coupler. They do pretty well, we do get tangled every so often but it is a better alternative to several leashes. My guys are not the "best" walkers in the world, so they are all over the place, and sniffing where each other sniffed, so it is a little difficult, but once they get going, and we are walking for a while, they ease off & walk nicely. I could not take all three walking at the same time, I have to take hubby with me!!

My husband prefers two seperate leashes when he walks them but I prefer a double leash. it is kind of the opposite of a coupler in that two longer lengths hook up to one handle that has a spinning mechanism so they don't get tangled.

what I like about it is I can put the handle around my wrist and still grab one or the others leash if they need a correction.

here's a picture

I use 2 separate leashes. It just works better for me. Also, sometimes my Mom or DH walks with us.
