When staying at hotels, what do you use to put down under an excercise pens?

Looking for ideas for what to put down on the floor under the exercise pen for the puppy whenever we travel in the future at a hotel? Some hotel rooms have mostly carpet. I think at one time I saw people use a shower curtain but looking for some other ideas instead of bringing a big piece of linoleum.

Just looking for more ideas, thank you!

Hi Angie -- I used an expen set up in my bedroom for several months when my puppy was younger (not that long ago). The bedroom is carpeted, and I found that a convenient and inexpensive option was to put a blue tarp under it, the kind that you can buy at any home supply store. The tarp is easy to fold into a smaller size if you want to make the expen smaller. Good luck!

I use a clear vinyl shower liner. Works great. It can be folded up fine.

I used a blue tarp too but covered it with a flannel sheet, of course I was home and could wash it if need be but he really never soiled it.

This is a picture of the mats I use. Their rubber on the side that usually is on the ground. They repel the pee and can roll up for travel. Plastic shower curtains is hard to clean and it gets wrinkled. Mine are just large mats I got at home depot. When they were younger I had to duck tape the edges because one of them wanted to chew the corners.
Well their pee area is big because Zoey needs more room or she misses
Maddie will use the one with the tray because she is neat and tidy.

you could even use one of those birthday table clothes (thin, plastic-like) that are pretty cheap.
