How dry does your Hav have to be?

When I can get Django out for a walk in the winter I always give him a spa paw bath when we return. I never walk him when there's snow on the pavement and it has to be fairly warm for us to go out. However, his feet and under belly get dirty. I always give him a good soak in the sink and dry his feet but i don't pull out the blowdryer. He's not soaking wet by no means, just a little damp. Do I need to dry him off completely? My home is always warm so there's no concern that he will get cold.

Geeezzzzzzzzzzzzz......if I gave those warm soak baths everytime my boys went out, they would be wet all the time and that would be my main job all day long!

When it is raining outside, I take a towel and cover the boys with it, then get their feet in a towel. Lots of times, I will place a towel near me (Dexter) sits there. A towel on back of chair (Jack) sits there when I know they are wet and they just need some more wetness removed.

Oh! Sometimes my boys look dirty when they are wet, but they are not....they are just wet. The morning dew getting on them when we go outside in the morning.

If I was doing what you are doing, I would make sure they got a good towel hold (hold onto Hav for 5 minutes) to absorb lots of the wetness off, then a quick dry underneath. (Lots of work going on here).

Gosh - with 4 going out in the snow and rain, I would have no life - lol
When my guys come in with ice balls, I wrap them in a towel that was in the dryer while they were outside. They run into the family room with ice balls on them still - I put the fireplace on and they eventually dry on their own (and of course melt all over my furniture) - but they are fine and have never had any problems with it.
