I miss my puppy

We are on vacation this weekend and Gryff is at my friend Nicole's house. We spent the entire dinner and half the drive talking about Gryff. I should have just brought him!

Sniff.

omg I feel your pain!!! I'm going up to Boston in October for my dads birthday and I'm leaving Capote with my best friend for a WEEK!!!! A WHOLE WEEK!!! I've never been a full 24 hours without him!! It's like having a kid!! I'm going to be calling EVERY night to check in!! I may have to fly home early to be with him..lol.

I'd take him with me but he doesn't fit in his carrier anymore like the last time I went up there and there's noo way I could put him underneath the plane..I'd die.

I feel your pain. It doesn't matter where I am Hawaii, Costa Rica, Panama, China etc, I count the days till I come home! I have cut my traveling way back since I got these guys. It was breaking my heart to leave them. We are renting an RV next summer and taking them with us! Yippee!

Ivy, I understand completely! People think we're crazy for missing our dogs, but tough. It's a fact! I'm going away on the 9th, for a week with relatives. The dogs, hubby and kids are staying home. Now who do you think I'll miss most???? LOL

You'll be smothered in kisses when you get back. It's a real treat!

I left my boys for only 2 night and it was hard, I cant imagine a week without them. The kisses are the greatest when you do come home.

Mindy it's too bad you cant bring Capote, I would have been more than happy to baby sit him for you when he could not be with you. Riley & Monte would have loved it also.

The only good thing is that they often develop a good bond with the person you left them with. Dora can be quite shy and to herself. Isabelle, I can leave with anyone, she loves visitors! If it is more than a day or two, we always take them to my in-laws farm. The first time I left Dora was our 2 week trip to Japan. I was so nervous about how she would react, I called and spoke with my MIL who said she was doing well and cuddling her. I thought she would probably lie and tell me that. When we arrived home, Dora had a big old party, we brought toys (they know the routine!) and then Dora ran over and jumped on my MIL's lap! I was so absolutely thrilled with how she reacted and had bonded with her! It is nice to know if there is every an emergency, Dora has someone she loves and trusts!

Awwww!

Enjoy your vacation. Gryff is probably having a nice time with her, but he'll be so glad to see you all when you get back.

I can relate to you. We were on vacation in Aug. and Benji was boarded at his breeder's. Her house is like as one of her puppy owners' puts it "Disney Land for dogs.

My husband and I missed Benji so much and often talked about him. He has become such a big part of our lives.

Enjoy your vacation and get ready for lots of kisses and cuddles from Gryff.

Best, Poornima

When we go away, we take Brady to "Grandmom Diane's hav camp" (his breeders). The first time we left him, we were pathetic. My husband would ask me every morning and throughout the day "what do you think Brady is doing right now?". These little guys suck you in so much. I really do miss him terribly when we are away, but it helps to know he is in good hands!
