NYC Havanese Playgroup
I'm a part of the New York City Havanese Playgroup and they will be having their annual Havanese Howlaween Happening party on Oct. 21st. I know I'm the only person on the forum who lives in the city, but I thought that maybe some of you who live within driving/train distance would be interested in going... it costs money ($20) but I've heard really great things about it from people who've gone previous years. Here is the description for anyone who's interested. If anyone wants to come, you have to RSVP and I can show you how (it's free to join the club and REALLY easy). The things I'm most excited about are the contest for Best Kisser (I think Kubrick could actually win this, LOL) and they will have a professional photographer there who can photograph your pup (of course it costs money, but I will look at how good he/she is and decide if I want to do it). 
If anyone would like to come please let me know! I will be there with Kubrick and would love to see any of you who can come there!

We will also have a great pet photographer in attendance who will be donating his time and costs. You can have a professional portrait of your Havanese taken for $20! Again, this money will go to Havanese Rescue and Animal Haven Shelter!
The fee for this meetup is $20 per dog and they get to bring two of their people with them. Each additional person is $5.

Awww Kimberly I was counting on you to forget Piaget's matches, hop on a plane and fly six hours to come!

Lina, isn't this the one put on by Greater NY Hav Club? I am a member but haven't been to any meetings. It is a chore to get down there from here, unless I drive in, and then parking is a hassle. I would love to try and make it, but am already trying to skip out on work for NJ playdate. I work on Sunday.

Michele, I think that the NYC Havanese Playgroup is a subset of the Greater NY Hav Club... there's even a link to the NYC Hav Playgroup on the GNYHC home page as a way to RSVP to the event.
I can totally understand you not being able to come since it is a hassle to drive into the city, especially if you work on that day! If you can come, though, I would love to see you and Kodi and Shelby two weekends in a row!

I definitely know what you mean about Scudder's busy schedule, Linda! If you look at my calendar, more than half of the entries for the month of October are Kubrick-related, either play dates or Vet appointments or classes or Halloween parties. He has more of a life than I do! LOL.
