Chewing through Toys??

Capote's always been pretty good with his toys but I've noticed in the past 3 weeks or so he's starting to chew through them all.. The plush ones more than anything. I just bought him a bunch of new ones to replace the ones he'd chewed through and already he's chewed through them!! I'm at a loss..he loves the plush ones but I don't want to have to buy him new toys every 2 weeks.

I thought it might be because he's bored, but it's when he's here with me! So I thought it might be because he needed some harder toys to chew on so I gave him a few hard bones and some bully sticks but he's still chewing through them.

Any ideas as to how I can get him to not chew through them or some plush toys that are oober durable??

Milo's been doing the same thing, except for his big squeaky bone. He loves to play with that one.

Mindy,
Hank definitely enjoys his Toughstructables "bone" we purchased at PetEdge.

As the name implies, he hasn't been able to destroy this one...yet.

Hope this helps.

I buy my toys from Petedge, because the toys are cheap. You can get them for under 1.00. I used to care when the toys got destroyed, but now it deosn't matter, because I buy the one's on special for 49 cents!

Scout is a pretty aggressive chewer, and we have tossed many plush toys. I don't feel comfortable giving him plush toys that he can chew through, even if they don't cost much, because I think there are safety issues if he swallows parts of the destroyed plush toys. I have found that most of the dog toys sold at Old Navy (of all places) are pretty durable.

Skiver has always chewed the crap out of plush toys!! Haven't found much he can't destroy. So don't feel bad; Skiver told me he wants to be a Rotweiller when he grows up (all 4 pounds of him!!). Must be why he chews so hard! LOL
