March Snow Storm

Yesterday we were supposed to have 2 inches of snow.

This very quickly turned into 7. Both my daughter and husband were sent home from school/work by noon and we all were able to watch from windows ... and go play with Indy.

And a video for fun

(Anyone know how to embed video?)

I love that Indy enjoys the snow as much as he does, even if it is only in ten minute spurts of energy. That said, I'm really really looking forward to Spring!

We let him play the first time without the shirt and he came in with his belly just covered in mini snowballs. I knew he'd be out again so I didn't want to put him in a bath so we just warmed up a towel and wrapped him up until they melted. Is there any good[ way to get rid of them? The shirt at least kept his belly snow free but not a lot could be done for his legs.

I do the warm towel routine too. Kodi really doesn't like deep snow now that he is an adult, and sticks to the paths the guys snow blow for him. So it's much less of a problem than when he was a puppy.

We did get a full snow suit for him his first winter... That year he was so full of "puppy energy" that he often went "snorkling" in new snow so you could only see the tip of his nose. He outgrew that one, and I never felt the need to replace it.

This afternoon the snow has turned everything into a spring mud puddle. I was able to take Indy for a walk for the first time in nearly a week (it's been in the 20's and below) but it was straight into the tub when we got home!

Sorry about the snow, but the pics sure are cute and Indy seems to be having a blast, snowballs and all.

Such cute pictures of a cute boy! We only get snow here about once a year, if that. The only way I could figure to get them melted was to put them in their bath tub and spray them off with lukewarm water. Once a year I can handle the work of letting the boys play and get loaded down with snowballs. But I would sure hate to have to deal with that all winter! We are having a "Pineapple Express" the past two days. Very warm out for this time of year. Love it. It is actually feeling quite spring-like of late in our area, lots of buds appearing on the trees, we are mowing more often.
