*^%#%!

Urgh!!!!! So the whole family is in the living room watching what else, but For The Love Of Benji. Right toward the end of the movie, Gryff gets up and runs upstairs and then comes back downstairs. I did some quick math and thought that it is about time he goes outside. I took him out, he peed after a while and then we finished the movie. Sure enough, I go upstairs after the movie and the &^%(&%^ dog peed on the floor!!!! He also growled at Alec a few times today - granted Alec has been pretty relentlessly bugging him today, but still I don't like him growling.

Okay, rant over. No wait, one more &^%$%$$*!!!. Okay, I'm done now.

Ivy, I know that feeling, Logan used to do the same thing but I realized that it was really my fault as I should have watched the timing. How did you guys make out with the week of you ignoring Gryff and letting som & DH do everything for him??

Ah yes, the week where the boys did everything. Yeah, right - that lasted for a day or so. I'm the mommy for everybody including dogs and husbands. I still try to get Alec to feed Gryff, but as for walks, it just works out better if I do it myself.

Gryff really does like Alec. He gets very excited when that bus comes up the street and he rushes to greet Alec every morning when he wakes up. But by and large, he'd just rather hang out with me.

I think thats ok, and at some point he will become Alex's best friend. My guys are all Mommy's shadowl!! They go to every room I am in, and lay down. I cannot move without one , two, or all three following me. Eventually Gryff will gravitate to Alex, he probably just needs time. I laugh because I was pretty sure that week thing was gonna end sooner that a week. It would last like 15 minutes in my house!!

Oh heck, my guys still do stuff on the floor once in a while; mostly to be naughty! Today, I had so much on my mind, I FORGOT TO PUT THE BABY GATE UP!!!! Oh boy, when I got home, pillows and throw blankets off the couch, stuff everywhere, and poor Shaw got hold of that tshirt I was making him wear when he had stitches, and he pooped all over it!! I guess that tells ME what he thought of THAT!!

I was mad, yeah, but it was my fault for not putting up the gate, and boy, they had fun! And Shaw was just....expressing his views

A baby gate is a great friend for helping with situations like this.

How old is Gryff now?

acting up

Poor dogs, sometimes they need a bad day too, although when it's your dog and you're the one who has to clean the mess, it doesn't seem as fair...lol

Mojito has been good about going potty, and if the baby gate is closed he'll lead me to it so I open it for him and he can go outside (either that, or just use the pad). But today for some reason, for the 2nd time, he pooped on a mat he lays on by my computer!! He peed once on it, and today it was poop. This goes against animal instincts!! They do not soil their beds, perios (or so I thought...) Although it's not his bed all the time, it's still his! Do your dogs ever do that?...

One question Ivy, is Gryff the cute beige guy in the puppy clip? That's one of the cutest puppy clips I've seen! Can we see a photo from the front?

forgot to ask...

I forgot to ask you, do any of you have puppies that sleep in your bed? Mojito is almost 22 weeks old and he had been sleeping in an expen in the family room. It's been 2 nights that I've experimented putting him in my bed (bad mommy...) to see how he behaves. Well, we've had to accidents! Although I take out his water at around 9 pm, he still pees a couple of times but jumps down and uses the pee pad. We're good there.

He's a little dominant and I have to not let him be my boss. Do you think I made a huge mistake by letting him sleep in my bed at such a young age?... He behaves, the only thing that drives me crazy is around 6 am he crawls under the covers and bites my toes...
