New tricks

Two of my dogs have new tricks. Miss Ellie gets up on my husband's desk and uses her nose to turn on the lamp he has on there. It's one that you touch to turn on and if you touch it again the light gets brighter. It seems Ellie likes the high setting. After turning on the lamp, she lays on his laptop and watches out the window. When she gets warm there, then she lays on the window sill like a cat and watches what's going on outside.
Bandit has never been shy about what she wants and now she has decided that she likes giving us sore necks. She gets under the top part of the pillow which makes our necks go crooked. She's happy as can be cause she's a little den girl and loves tight places but oooooooooh our aching necks! I need to figure out a way to get her to just go under DADDY'S pillow

Jan, that is funny, I was just saying to hubby that I gotta retrain Logan to lay somewhere else. Lately when I sit on the couch he lays above note but his butt, or feet fall down onto my shoulders so his whole body weight is leaning on my shoulders and neck. Of course, that is not good for me, = if I get up, she slides or falls onto the couch. If he were not 17 lbs, he might make for a neck therapy dog, but yikes, he is heavy!!

Jan, that is too cute. Smarty has not started the den stuff. She is never under covers or still under anything. She may be "rooting" the covers off the bed or the sofa pillows to the floor, but never stays in one spot under anything.

How funny! What a little genius Ellie is for turning on the light! And that cuddle muffin, Bandit.

and runlikehells

I'm going to try to get a picture of Miss Ellie turning the light on. She's so proud of herself when she does it and studies how the light is and decided it needs to be higher so taps it again with her nose. She's so funny.
You know another thing we noticed is that when the havs do runlikehells the lead hav has their tail flat behind them. All others have their tails curled up, but whoever is in the lead carries their tail straight out.

I think even a 10 pound dog could get heavy on the neck. It's pretty neat in a car though. My pom used to ride behind my neck in the car and it felt good. I think it was because of the way the seat was.
