We are going to do therapy work!

I decided to visit nursing homes, rehabs etc with the pups. It's something I always wanted to do. I called an agency and I made an appt for my guys to be evaluated. Seems they don't have many appts and with my schedule, I found it impossible. So I called some nursing homes directly. Seems I only need their shot records! They just require dogs to be nice. So we will be starting our new journey soon!

Congratulations, Linda. That's great that they will let you do that with only their shots records. Enjoy you new adventure with the "kids".

I called several places and they all said that's all they require. I asked if they needed to be canine Good Citizens or Therapy dogs and they said that wasn't necessary.

Just be careful. You won't have anything except your homeowners insurance if she accidently scratches someone. With TDI or another one, you'd have insurance.

I'm sure it will be very rewarding to see the people in nursing homes enjoying your pups! It most certainly will brighten their day! Keep us posted.

I do have an umbrella policy for 1 million dollars. I wonder if that would cover it. I think we would be ok though. my guys have never even scratched or hurt anyone in all their years......fingers crossed!

Thats great Linda! I am so surprised though. The facilities that Lexi and Logan go to require their CGC and Therapy certificates, along with their vaccinations. I know your guys will do great!!!

That sounds fun. My MIL was in a nursing home for a while when Tim was a pup and they didn't require anything but updated shot records. In fact, when I visited my MIL and didn't bring Timmy I was in BIG trouble. He was such a celeb, he even got some wheel chair rides. Good luck, I really enjoyed doing this with Tim and I know your guys will be awesome!
