Isn't it AMAZING how much more of the Belton markings you can see when they're wet!?!?!

I know I would love Kodi just as much no matter what color he was, but I LOVE his white body and black head, (except when it comes to keeping feet clean! ) and I don't think it would be nearly as striking if his body was grey. Fortunately, his Belton markings, like Atticus' are much less obvious when he's dry.

Just think, Jody, it's like having two dogs in one. He's a handsome guy no matter what color he is. Love the raccoon eyes too. Very unique.

I love it! Piper is a Belton too and her white side has some magically appearing and disappearing black spots.

I've noticed that the black on dogs with the Belton gene tend to stay black instead of silvering. Does anyone know if there is any truth to that?
