Djangos cyst

Djangos cyst burst again of course while we were out of town. We took him to the vet when we returned and the vet had to drain the cyst and put D on antibiotics for 2 weeks. He also has had reoccurrence of colitis so he's back on the prednisone as well. He's hanging in there as he always does. To date, he is on 9 pills a day. Poor guy. He just can't seem to get a break.

So sorry to hear about more bad news for Djangos. He sure is a little trooper. Good wishes are coming his way and hope he's feeling better soon. Poor little guy. Licks from Tyler Djangos.

AWWWW, why do those things always have to happen when you're out of town? Always. Poor guy, I hope he feels better soon. That a lot of meds for a little guy. But we do everything we can for our furbabies.

Sorry to hear about little D. When my little guy had IBS bloody diarrhea, Sabine had me give him slippery elm. NOW is the brand name. It really does work to calm down their intestines and stops the diarrhea. You take 1 teaspoon of the powder (don't use the capsules) and add it to 1 cup of boiling water. Stir it constantly until it dissolves. Add 1 teaspoon of honey or sugar. As it dissolves it will get thicker. I would just put a few tablespoons in a bowl or dish and he would drink it up. It's sweet and he loved it. Once cooled it lasts 2 days in the refrigerator. As a matter of fact I take it myself on occasion. It tastes sweet and smells nutty. Google slippery elm for dogs diarrhea. The only thing is you should give it separate from medications. It coats the stomach and intestines, making their cramps and pain go away, however it can make medications less absorbed because it does coat the stomach. The other thing that helps is plain canned pumpkin. NOT the one that has the spices in it.

Feel better Django!

Btw, I love your new profile picture. Despite all his issues, you can tell he's a happy boy. I just love his little face!
