WITCH HAZEL

Has anyone out there used Witch Hazel for skin issues? My groomer noticed D's skin condition is getting to be pretty bad especially at the base of his tail. She thought witch hazel could help calm the irritation even though his issue is Sebaceous Adenitis. I was going to try a little big on the back of his knee to see if there was any reaction first for a couple of days but I wanted to reach out to see if anyone had any luck using this.

I have used it and it is perfect for red itchy skin because it can be described as natural hydrocortisone. I used it on paws. It is very important to get good stuff. I use witch hazel hydrosol with no alcohol in it.

I've never had to use it on Kodi, but we use it regularly on the horses, and I remember my Mom using it on us all the time as kids to sooth irritated skin! I can't imagine it could hurt him.

Never tried witch hazel, but I have tried Zymox rinse and it's amazing. You can dilute it or use it full strength. I hope you find something that works for him.

All Zymox products are so good! They have shampoos, conditioner, rinse, ear drops and many more products. It could be good for Django!

I use a bit of witch hazel on a cotton pad to clean Pickles' ears. (And as a toner for my skin!
