Question Coats,sweaters,ponchos!!Who's got some??

Can you post some pics for me.It's starting to get chilly here and I'm thinking I need to get some for Duncan.I have seen some I like, but they don't have a hole in them for the leash.I actually got this cute sherpa looking coat, but there was no hole in it,so I have to make one, because this coat is just so darn cute!!!

Dot, check out petedge.com they have lots of sweaters and jackets and lots of them have the hole for the leash. I am sure you will find something there you can use. Make sure to post pics once you get one!!

I'll try to get some pictures today. Laurie, if the coat doesn't have a place for the harness to clip on the back, You can buy the "gentle lead" harness that you clip the leash to the chest! That's how I get around that little inconvenience of coats w/o holes for the harness.

I bought some from PetEgde and some from 'boutique' type places. There is another thread on 'sweaters' with some links there if you are interested.

This is Brady in last years coat. It came from Petsmart. He has two new coats this year from Petedge. Sorry, no pictures yet. All of my coats have a hole for the leash, but I have to admit that I don't always use it. Sometimes I just latch the leash to him on the top of his neck. Petedge has great prices and some cute stuff. Petsmart will put their coats half price at the end of the season. I wish I would have bought a few the end of last year as I really liked their selection (just not their prices). Sorry, we don't do sweaters in my house.

Karen,

What a cute coat. I love it. When I let Milo out this morning I decided it's probably time to get him something. It's cold out there. Brrr!

Kara you were lucky to find one that fit. Oliver was in between sizes and couldn't find one to fit. We contacted the company and the rep said havs are just hard to fit
Great photos Karen

Try FidoFleece.com. I got great fleece coats from them. They don't have a slot for a harness, but because they velcro across the back, uit is easy to get the leash out that way. Also, Ipuppyzone.com has some really nice coats.

I like these two types of coats because they go all around the belly. which keeps them dry and icicle free.

She just barely fits into the small right now, I bet if she grew any...she'd be out of it. You could probably sew one to fit, or take it to an alterationist if you really want one and have them cut and sew it for you, they have industrial machines! I think they DO help with pulling and it comes in really handy sometimes when I put clothes on her.

the company recommended taking it to a shoe repair place and have them do it---however they couldn't promise it would work
Oliver could get out of it ASAP

I just bought a cashmere sweater for Lily and Winston through Sierra Trading Post. They have discontinued items, etc. It's beautiful and sooo soft. Supposedly it was originally 80 and I got it from them for 39$. I got a small for Winston, he's 8 lbs and a medium for Lily and she is 16 lbs.

I think then you go to home decor, then pet stuff.
