racquet helps during a life emergency

My mother in law fell ill Thanksgiving night after dinner. She had no hearbeat or pulse . During the time my husband was giving her CPR Racquet stood quietly by her side . After the paramedics left Racquet came to her and kissed her leg and then sat in her lap and comforted her.
Racquet was a little paramedic helper.

Elayne, that's such a great story. I think Havanese are really empathetic dogs, they really feel what their owners feel and respond in kind.

Elayne, I had to gasp and bring my hand to my face as I read your post. Does this mean that your MIL recovered? My brother is a paramedic and a firefighter and I was grateful to enjoy the company of him and his family this Thanksgiving, but your post made it very close-to-home.

Racquet is very intuitive and sounds very nuturing.

Gosh, Elayne, what a dramatic story. I hope your MIL has recovered. Racquet's behavior was remarkable. He could have panicked or been hyper when the (unfamiliar) paramedics came, but was so calm and nurturing. Amazing!

HAV A GREAT DAY ! ~~AMY & BISCUIT~~

Elayne, I hope your MIL is stable/better now! My gosh, that must've been frightening for you all, and for Raquet to help, that's one amazing little guy.
hugs,

Elayne, When you think about how special he was, it brings tears to your eyes. They cand RLH, jump, bark etc, but then at times like these they can be the most gentle loving animals!! Hope MIL recovers.

We are so proud of Raquet, he did what man's best friend is suppose to do, comfort you in time of need. We hope your MIL is doing well this morning. Our thoughts are with her.
