random puppy, help please

Hey,
so my neighbor, she found a puppy, it actually followed her to work (public school), she tried to find the owner, no collar. no luck.

anyway, Lulu, she is all black, with tan eye brows and a little tan in the beard, and tan on the 4 paws.
she's b/t 10-14 wks old, and has rear dew claws. she looks pure bred, but what?

I'll take a pic of her when I get home. I thought you all might have a better guess than myself or my neighbor. Her coat is wavy and on the thinner side.

She's very friendly and sweet. they are taking her to the vet today for her first round of shots, maybe the vet will know what she is.

Lulu looks a lot like this pup, but has the tan markings for the eyebrows and she's jet black:

Looks a little like a schnauzer? Hmmm, she's cute. How can someone lose a puppy?

well, honestly, b/c the city she works in is Oakland (I grew up there), there's no way she's just a stray pure bred pup. it's someone's puppy, she (my neighbor) didn't find the owner.

and Lulu is for the most part, potty trained.

Yes, I agree with Jen, although, the pup looks small for a schnauzer.

Could the pup be a mini-schnauzer ?

That's such a sad story. I assume the owners must be beside themselves at this point, unless, of course, they just abandoned the puppy. I sure hope that's not the case, but you never know the way some people think. Waiting for some pictures.

Omg so cute that the puppy followed her to work. Whatever the case she obviously found herself a new person to look after her

I just checked craigslist, and there isn't a posting for a lost dog, matching the description.

I know it's someone's baby. unbelievable the puppy is just running loose, no collar. hopefully the vet checked for a microchip but the puppy is very young doubt the original owner did that yet.

I'm sure if someone is looking for the puppy some lost signs will go up. I can't imagine a small puppy could have ventured to far at the time your friend came into contact with her as you think someone would have noticed a little puppy roaming before that stage. It's good your friend is looking after the little cutie.
