I feel your pain Catherine. This rain is causing mine to misbehave too! It seems that they have forgotten they WON'T melt!!! Only precious Vallee loves going out in the rain. Her mother Molly will go too, but under the patio table and back! They are so funny. Each does it their own way. So the pee pad is done for the time being and the bathroom rug is up and put away!!!

Argh, Scout will put his head out the dog door, feel the rain, then backup and pee on the carpet. Now, I put him outside first thing in the morning, and block the dog door with my hand until he goes potty. He'll try to come in right away, but I keep chanting, "Potty! Potty! Potty! I know it's raining....but you're a DOG!"

I actually take our dogs out to the potty area in our yard and stand there like a dope chanting 'poty outside' or making up potty songs until they can't stand it any longer and just go so that I'll stop singing!LOL!! Such little babies!

Yep! LOL

My husband just can't get over the fact that Gucci is such a priss about the rain/cold/wind/wet grass...the conditions outside have to be near perfect or she is afraid she'll melt or mess up her hair. this morning I let her out and went to go find a blanket to take out with me and walked back to the door (10 seconds later) and she was scratching to come back in! I ended up carrying her down to the grass, but she ran back to the door. Crazy!

I can't feel your pain around here. I have a hard time getting Brady to come in from the rain. He looks at me like "aren't you going to come out and play? Look mom, cool, there is mud!" He is all boy.

I feel SO lucky after reading these threads. Neither of my girls has any problems going out in the rain. They seem to enjoy light rain. They will even go out in a downpour to do their thing but it's a quick out, do their thing, and back in. It does ruin Sedona's nicely combed "do" though. Her hair tends to curl when it gets wet, just like mine!

I. HATE. THE. RAIN.
Remember my sweet Heidi? The one that I bragged was doing so great with potty training?
Well that all went out the window 2 days ago when it started raining....UGH!
Add on top of that a couple of princess-y girls and I have been cleaning up pee more than I care to admit.
The steam cleaner is coming out today!
