Kallie just threw up

So what in the heck is going on? Kallie's never thrown up before. She & Abby are fed separately, so I know for sure she hasn't eaten any of Abby's food. Could it just be that's she upset that Abby's here? I'm praying that Abby doesn't have something that Kallie's now caught. But Abby's not showing any signs - no loose stools, no vomiting, etc. I really think that the novelty of Abby is wearing off & Kallie's got herself upset. She was more bossy towards Abby this morning. Oh, what have I done?

If it's just once and she has no other symptoms, I wouldn't worry. Dogs throw up. It just happens. If she hasn't done it yet, you're just lucky. (Or else she HAS, and has eaten it so fast you haven't noticed.) Yup, gross, but they do that too!

Take a deep breath and just keep an eye on her, Kallie has been through a big change. The honeymoon period might be coming to an end, give them both their space. I'm sure others with more experience bringing in a second dog will chime in. Dave posted some articles about bringing in a second dog not too long ago, why don't you do a search or send him a PM. I know Julie mentioned that Piper had a rough time of it. Keep an eye on Kallie and give her some one on one time. Abby has to learn to be by herself, even for a short period, so better to start now. We all second guess ourselves, but you have to give this some time. Keep posting for support, that's why we're here!

Yeah, at least with the cat, she makes such a production out of it that I can usually hear her in time to get there before Kodi!
