Curly Lola - recs for shampoo, conditioner and leave in

I adopted my wonderful 3 y/o Lola in April. She's a joy. Going very soon to a pet store which is opening near me, closer than their other stores! I'd love to get y'all's suggestions for shampooing products you've had great success with, specifically for a curly hav.

I finally got up my nerve last week and took her coat down to about 2 1/2". She is so cottony and curly and was looking like a wooly mammoth. Her belly hair is just wavy. Legs very curly, body quite curly and poofy.

Hope this description makes sense. I need all the products I listed, but feel the most need for a conditioning spray I can use every day when I brush and comb her.

Many thanks, Rosie

There's a leave on human conditioner called neutrogena triple moisture. You apply a small amount after a bath and when the hair is dry. I like it on Zoeys coat. Zoe is wavy and thick. I like Bio Groom products and can find them at farm stores where they sell dog products too. The one I'm using now is protein lanolin moisture shampoo. I hope your new pet store has it. Otherwise Havanese can also just use a good human shampoo and conditioner. I have used Aussie moist conditioner on her and didn't notice a difference at all compared to expensive dog products. We want a picture!

sporchid, will try to post pics. Having troubles doing so with the only device I have, an iPad2.

Suzi, thanks for your ideas. What I have been using is Oster Oatmeal Naturals that I got from the gal I adopted from. I'm out of it and used a cheap shampoo (human) this week. Followed that with the conditioner I use, ion Repair Solutions. Also have Pantene Pro-Vitamin, a leave in.

Her coat is very thick. I've read contradictory stuff about using human shampoo. Wish there was a consensus on that. Waiting for a few more suggestions before we go to Rucker's Pet.......and may check out the Tractor Supply which I know has dog food, not sure about the other things.

A separate thing, but I applied the monthly flea control on Monday, used Flea4X which is a Pet-Meds product. She has fleas! Why???

Appreciate the help. I've spent more time on Havanese Forum in the last two months than I have cooking, cleaning and gardening combined. SO helpful, especially to a first time Hav mom.
