2 year old trained havanese wont use porch potty

Teddy is 2years old, neutered and we have had him since he was a puppy. He has been housebroken for 18 months and uses a porch potty on our deck which he has access to from dog door. He is very smart and really gives us no problems. He goes to day care once or twice a week when our work schedules keep us away from home and we know he will have a long day by himself. His sister (my sons dog) visits regularly but after she left last week, he has refused to use the porch potty. First he started pooping on deck (still urinating on porch potty) but progressed to pooping in house and finally peeing in house. We have cleaned porch potty, narrowed his access to rest of patio and finally gone back to crating him. Yesterday was 18 hours and he would not go when we took him outside to porch potty-just looked at us-we finally took him into yard and he went immediately. This morning is same thing-It has been 13 hrs and he still wont go- I do not know what to do about this. I don't think he is just trying to be defiant but I don't know what the issue is. Any ideas?

Thats strange. Does he go out by himself threw the doggie door? Maybe something scared him out their. Maybe he got stung or something. Try putting a piddle pad in the house to see if he will use it then you know it something that happened on the porch. Try feeding him some goodie out there and sit with him for a long time. I have no idea but maybe he just hates the porch.

It definitely sounds like he got scared by something. For instance, in a review I read of the Ugodog the person mentioned that her dog refused to go near it after he got a nail caught on it while using it. Too bad, that certainly complicates your lives for a while!

Could he just prefer to use outdoors instead of porch potty?
