Welcome home pictures.

Hello all,

I'm busy today at work and don't know if I will have time to post when I get home. Lucky, is doing much better today....He's getting adjusted to the boys but he's afraid of my three year old twin girls, everytime he hears them he runs to his crate and puts his face down and won't come out. I'm sorry I'm being brief but I have to run. Enjoy the pictures!!!!

Denise

Oh, he's so cute - and so are your kids!

If you teach the girls to approach him calmly and quietly, he'll warm up to them faster. I'm sure it is just a matter of time. Puppies are not always fast to warm up to everyone.

He is a sweetie pie! Your children are cute too. I have a three year old daughter and I am always having to remind her to approach Oreo slowly and not be so loud.... sigh, not an easy task but now worries, with time the puppy will warm up.

Lucky is so cute, his hair looks so soft and shiny! I'm sure it's upsetting your twins to have Lucky react that way but I agree that he will warm up faster if they don't push it and remain quiet and calm around him. Difficult I know when they are so excited to have the puppy.

BTW, your human kids are cute too

Aw Denise, they're all adorable. If you can, just tell the girls to sit quietly and let the puppy come to them. It might take a little while but it will happen. You might have them hold a treat or place it right beside them and give Lucky a chance to approach them.

Denise, if that makes you feel any better: I wouldn't run away from your girls, they're cute as can be!
But don't worry, Pablo (13 weeks) does the same thing with DH's niece who's 2.5 y/o, she's trying to be nice and jumps joyfully, dances, calls him, etc. and Pablo tries to run and hide from that 'hopping monster', LOL. I'm sure time will bring them all together!

Denise,

I think that's a bit normal when they first meet little kids, they are a kind of 'guarded', but don't worry...teach your girls (they are precious!) To be calm and offer treats and let him walk up to them for the treat, he'll warm up in NO time! Gucci really loves toddlers because the ones next door are always giving her treats and bites of cheese! lol She thinks they are 'food dispensing' machines!

Thanks for the pictures!

Hi Denise,

Thanks for posting the pictures....you know how we all love pictures here!! Everyone is so cute! It might be kind of hard to explain to your 3 yr olds. how to approach Lucky...I know I have tried this with my 3 yr. old niece so take it slow and probably keep a eye on everything when the twins are around Lucky for awhile.
