holidays

To what extent do you plan your holidays around your dog.

1. Close to 100 per cent.

2. 80 to 90 per cent.

3. 50 to 80 per cent .

4, 20 to 50 per cent.

5, hardly at all, my dog is bad.

Between 90-100%. Haven't had an away vacation in a bit over 2 years because I had 2 elderly dogs (one has passed on). The other is almost 15 years and I'm not comfortable boarding her and haven't been able to find someone to come to the house to stay. I don't like a pet sitter that only comes in for 30 minutes or so as it doesn't really give the dogs enough time. I have 4 dogs which is really too many to travel with. Leo will go with us in the future if we travel. Just have to figure out arrangements for the dogs that stay home!

Holidays-what holidays??!!
We really go nowhere except WDW and occasionally the beach-not even for a full day!
We are boring people.
These furry beings rule me.

yeah Beth I find some people who don't have pets especially dogs. , don't understand why some people like you and me, are like that. We don\t leave Molly for any more than five or six hours . Even when we camped, Molly was always with us. That's the way it is, and I wouldn't Hav it any other way.

100%, If they don't go, I don't go. Longest they have been alone is 7 hrs for youngest son's wedding and his 2 yorkies were with them. When they go away we have the yorkies. The 4 dogs have grown up together and the yorkies have their own magnetic collars to work the dog door here.

Close to 100%. If they are not welcome, I will not go. We travel more in a car so the boys can go with us to Mom's house. Long drive, oh so worth the trouble, as long as I have my boys with me. Son welcomes us in his house, so no problems now. Daughter living in states now, no problems. I am happy. I schedule my time off from work if hubby is going out of town to take care of the boys. Yes, my boys are my world.

Lets put it this way, if my dog sitter isn't available to stay at my house, I don't go. So what's that? 10?

We plan 100% around Sissy! We take her with us, just stay gone a few hours or hire a sitter!

We recently went on vacation near Tablerock Lake, MO and she went with us and we were totally surprised that we were not turned down one time on her going in places. We took her pet stroller and she sat like a princess!

We did go to a concert while we were there and the people that we rented a home from had a friend that they call the "dog whisperer" and she came over and stayed while we were gone. We didn't want her to feel alone in a strange place.
