Question Sleeping - how much?

I know this topic has been covered a few times over the past year, but I just thought I'd bring it up again since Beamer seems to sleep so much these days.. (and give the newbies a chance to discuss to! )

Beamer is soooooo lazy in the morning.. We have to fight him to get him up at 7:30am on work days to go potty. On the weekends and days we do not work he will not bug us to get up till 9:30am to 11am usually. Thats late eh?? I recall lots of other saying they are ready to get up ay 6am..lol

Then he will take his naps throughout the day, but again, I guess these naps are not good sleep for him since he will get up everytime someone stands up or takes a few steps twards the door to go into another room.

Or maybe its the cold winter weather?? its also get dark very early and the daytime is usually grey overcast with not much sun...

How are everyone elses Havs these days?

Ryan

What time does Beamer go to bed at night?

Lizzie is 5 months and she tends to need more sleep than 13-month old Benji. She sleeps from 10 pm till 7. Benji doesn't sleep completely until both, my DH and I are in bed. Benji will sleep on my feet until DH comes upstairs. Benji sleeps from about 11 pm till 6. Lizzie loves to sleep in her crate next to my bed and she will dive right in and sleeps like a log. Lizzie's potty call is around 7 and after doing her business, if I put her in the crate and I slip back into bed, she will sleep until I wake her up. However, Benji will not want to sleep after 7. He is rearing to go for a walk. Lizzie needs her breakfast by 7:30 or 8.

Benji and Lizzie from 10 am to 11 or later. Then they start to play, again snooze, play, have a snack at 2 pm and then they sleep for an hour or more. After 4 pm, they are up until the bed time.

Best, Poornima

Brady has turned into a great sleeper as he has gotten older. He falls asleep in our den while we are watching tv in the evening. He usually is asleep by 8:30, but does get up for playtime at some point before we goto bed. We goto bed around 11:30 and he sleeps soundly next to my DH in bed. He now requires coaxing and belly rubs to get out of bed in the morning. We usually get out of bed by 9:00 or so and he gets up when we go. He would stay in bed if we would. He used to get up around 6:30 or 7:00 when he was a puppy, but no more.

The more active Dora is the more she sleeps and takes naps. They sleep a lot during the week cause we are more active on the weekends. Dora is my lazy girl that I drag outside at 6 am and then she rushes back into bed as soon as she can. Gets up when I leave around 8 and then back to bed! I would say she goes to bed 11pm during the weekdays though. Really doesn't nap much on the weekends and doesn't get out of bed until my husband does. I would guess she sleeps about 12 hours a day though- some just laying around not necessarily sleeping.

I think Bonnie is an awesome sleeper. She goes to bed in her crate after we take her for a walk in the evening at 8:30pm and sleeps until about 6:30am. Then it's potty time and brekkie. Which is important around here because that's wake-up time at our house for school and work. The rest of the day, she alternates playing outside or in her ex pen and then napping in her crate with about 2-3 really solid naps (about 1.5-2.5 hours), the rest are shorter. She eats at 6:30am and 5pm.
