The Boys & Riley, the cat.

It took less than a week and everyone is getting along great. I have a blog on "Blogger" that I write about the boys. The blog is my way of keeping track of what is going on with the lives of my boys. I use positive reinforcement, calm voice and positive attitude. Overall, my experience with introducing a new cat into my house went very well. Dogs and an adult cat can live together in one house.

Maya gets along great with my 3 cats -two seniors and one kitten. They often all sleep together. When we go to my mom's house on weekends, her cat can't stand Maya. Poor Maya cant figure out why and still tries to play with her. When Maya was younger, I'm sure the cat would have killed Maya if given the chance.
It has been over two years now, you would think that her cat would have gotten used to her and not have the attitude "Get out of MY house now!" Should be interesting tomorrow. My brother is going to be in town with his havanese puppy that is also used to playing with cats. Poor Bonkers is going to be miserable! Two playful havanese pups to chase her. I'm sure she will be in hiding for awhile!

I would SO have a cat if I wasn't badly allergic. Either a Maine Coon, Ragdoll or Russian Blue. My BIL used to have a ragdoll that would play hide-and-seek.

Riley is a beautful Himalayan cat, looks like a Siamese, the hair is longer and temperment is friendly snd laid back. I believe thid breed is hypoallergenic. Riley is 11 yrs old.

At Silvers. The Himalayan is not a hypo allergenic cat, they do shed a lot. The Siberian is tho. My brother has two. Little balls of fluffs.
When I was a kid, we had to get rid of our Himalayan, Amanda, because my mom was so highly allergic to her. She even tried getting weekly shots so we wouldn't have to get rid of her. Nothing helped!

Ok, my daughter mainly got this cat for the allergy problem. They (daughter and hubby) may be taking an allergy pill. Jack found the cat litter box, got to go looking at the reviews to the self cleaning boxes. Anyone use a self cleaning litter box?

Riley, male, 11 years old. He is the sweetest cat I have ever known.

For those who do not know the story, a month or two back, I wanted to find out some information on introducing a grown cat to a household of two dogs.

Jack is my cat hater and chaser, so I needed to come up with some solution, it had to work, no turning back. Well, it worked out.

Riley is actually sleeping in Jack's bed. Jack did not know what to think of this situation, he just sat on the foot cushion above him and looked, like he was saying...."I cannot believe you are in my bed!"
