Question Hav Fashion Statements

I'm just wondering what the rule-of-thumb would be for protecting our pups in this cold, windy weather that has set in.

I've been playing it by ear: if I need a warm hat, I put Molly's quilted jacket on her. In heavy rain, she wears a vinyl rain coat.

My biggest concern, though, is those little feet. There's NO WAY she'll tolerate puppy-boots, but what is a safe tolerance level in snow and ice?

Molly is a little over a year old...this is her second winter, and she loves to be outside hopping and romping and tearing around with her puppy pals. Any advice?

Well, I am not sure Jillee will play outside with her sister's but they are bigger than she is....when she is ready she comes to the door if not then when I go to the door then she comes in anyways...I would just becareful and check her paws when she comes in if she was out for a little bit!!

Moko...

I just ordered this spray called Pawpro...It's a Lanolin base product that you can spray on the dogs feet and coat to repell snow, ice and water. I just received it in the mail and will be trying it out soon (my dogs won't keep boots on either..)

Here is the Web site if you'd like to check it out:

I'm going to check out the spray too. It's SO darn cold here right now & poor Amy lifts up her paws when I take her out. We're never out for long, I can't stand it either! I hate cold, I wish I could convince my husband & kids to move south, I'm not cut out for this, even though I've never lived anyplace else!

I'm waiting for it to snow again, as I read it helps keep the snow from sticking to their fur.

Thanks for raising this question. I'm thinking of taking Biscuit to Lake Tahoe soon with us, where there is a ton of snow. He would have to go outside in it to pee/poop. He has never experienced snow, or cold. Don't their little feet get frostbitten or something? How long can they stay out in the snow? The lanolin spray sounds like a good idea.

HAV A GREAT DAY ! ~~AMY & BISCUIT~~
and HEATH-Y, TOO !
