Hank is back from the Disney World Marathon Weekend!!

Hello everyone,
As some of you may know, my wife and I have been training for the Disney World Marathon and we've just arrived from our week long stay at the Magic Kingdom. We completed the Marathon on Sunday together...but being slightly crazy, I opted to run the Goofy Challenge: 1/2 Marathon (13.1 miles on Saturday) and Full Marathon (26.2 miles on Sunday) for a grand total of 39.3 miles in two days, running through all four parks. The picture has our little one sitting in front of his ex pen with the three medals you receive when you complete the challenge -- Donald (for the 1/2), 15th Anniversary Mickey Medal (for the Full Marathon), and the Goofy Medal (for being crazy enough to run both).

He stayed the first night at the Magic Kingdom Kennel which was decent, but we had him scheduled to stay the rest of the week at a doggy day care center in Orlando -- where we visited him daily. He definitely had as great a time throughout the week as the rest of my family.

Let's just say I was going through forum withdrawal, since I had placed myself on a moratorium from the internet prior to the Marathon weekend.

All the best.

It's good to be back.

Good Job 'Lo That is so exciting!! Whew you must be worn out!

I can't imagine doing what you did.. I have been to WDW which is totally fun but exhausting in it's own way. And I participated in the Rock n' Roll Half Marathon here in October and was pretty pooped after that too. You are awesome! And yes I'm a bit jealous because I would have loved to have done the WDW run!

Hank is a cutie pie love that Hav coat!

Glad to have you back on the forum.

Congrats Lo!
What an awesome accomplishment. The medals are really cool! I think with my feet(plantar fascitis and heel spurs-both) I'd die running across the street! I envy those of you who can run....

Hank is quite a cutie with his long coat. What a good boy he is! Sounds like he had an adventure as well!

Welcome back!

Wow I am jealous--you upped me!!!! I am proud of you also. I ran the Honolulu Marathon in a slow time of 5:29.00. I will always remember this physical feat since I am old and never considered this possible for me.
