Collars and collar tags

I want to order collar tags for Benji and Lizzie. It is possible that this has been discussed before but my search didn't yield any threads on collar tags.

I looked up this site: http://www.boomerangtags.com/

I am leaning towards plastic after reading the info on all the materials. Any comments? If you have any suggestions for other sites I would appreciate it. Also, any recommendations for ordering collars and leashes, please? I have used soft, padded collars from http://www.allhoundsapparel.com/

Thanks!

Best, Poornima

Hank typically uses a harness for walks. When he's home, he's sans collar or harness. During those times when he just needs (he is microchipped) visible identification while off lead (Doggy Day Care, etc.) (for his safety) we have a breakaway collar from: www.keepsafecollar.com with stainless steel boomerang tags on all his gear - both harness and collar. One great advantage with the boomerang collar tag is that it has a far lesser chance of getting caught between/in something (wooden deck, etc.), therefore preventing our little ones from getting trapped. Call me paranoid, but I feel that the keepsafe collar in conjunction with a Boomerang CollarTag would be the safest visible way to identify our loved ones.

All the best,
'Lo

Do you slide the Boomrang Collar Tag on the Keepsafe collar? The Boomrang site has something called the Breakaway collar. Is the Keepsafe collar padded? I like the padded collars because they don't chafe. Benji and Lizzie are sans collars at home. They both have microchip.

Thanks!

Best, Poornima

Poornima, we used a rolled leather collar too. And I was very happy with my tags from boomerang. they were nicely and deeply engraved and did a nice ob centering. I have just their names on the front and more info on the back. we got the stainless steel and I got the smallest one possible so it doesn't clink that much.

Yes I slide the "Adjustable CollarTag" onto the KeepSafe. Unfortunately the KeepSafe Collar isn't padded... I looked into the Beastie Band Collars (from the Boomerang Tags website) but they were specified for cats? That may be a better safe option as well.

Amanda -I like those.
Oliver and Comet will wear a harness for walks but I keep a collar (and ID) on in case they get accidently out.
They both have microchips

Amanda, I like these collars.

Sally, I too worry about them getting out accidently.......I don't know how they would do it since the yard door is locked and I have put up multiple ex-pens blocking the possible places for escapes in the yard.
