Jassy won't do his biz

Hello All: Please advise. is this serious? This morning we took Jasper out twice on two longish walks to no avail. Not even a pee. I had to run to work but will be going home in by 2 to check on him. He has his litter area (although he has not used it in over two months) But he has never not gone in the morning

He is drinking water. But it is like pulling teeth to get him to eat. But that's nothing new. We did have our first real snow last night, and he seemed to be bothered this morning by snow sticking to his back legs--- even hopped on three legs until I wiped off the snow-- but last night we went out and he was having a ball in the snow. If he hasn't gone by time I get home-should I take him to the vet-- or do they do this? Silly question, but he is our first dog and has never done anything like it before.

If he has not peed since last night, and doesnt pee by 2pm I would take him to the vet. Just make sure that he didnt go somewhere in the house that you did not find yet. I know when Lily had her bladder infections the vet said she may not go because it hurts them. I bet you find a nice big puddle when you go home at 2.

I agree - check around the house first before you go to the vet . There may be a present or presents lurking somewhere .I bet the snow is a deterrent to his going and doing his business .
He is used to doing it on grass probably and he cannot get the right scent or feel so he will not go.
? Is he pee pee pad trained - sometimes they will go on small throw rugs or the carpet .
They are notorius for sneaking off and going .
Usually if they have a bladder infection they go frequently ..
If you have not found any evidence anywhere then obviously you should consult a vet .
As to the snow be sure and wash their feet as they can get icicles stuck in their feet that are painful and also the salt is very corrosive and it hurts ..

Did Jasper go the bathroom while you were gone?

If not, did you take him to the vet? What did he say?

Quick, lets get the treats out of the bag before Mom sees!

Not a spot anywhere in the house. but he did go for me when I took him out at 2pm... poor boy holding it that long --16 + hours. He is pee pad trained and has his own "room" that he used to use when ever he got the feeling--- but lately he would rather hold it. Thanks for checking in. I was really nervous all morning. Hav people are the best. Missy
