Lightbulb License and Rabies tags

I tried to see if this topic has been addressed before, but didn't find anything. My apology if it's a repeat...

I try to always have Molly's license and rabies tags with me, whether we go for a walk, or are out-and-about in the car. I figure they're good to have in case of an emergency, or if there are other pups around and their owners are wanting to know that the dogs are rabies protected.

It was becoming a hassle, changing the tags from harness-to-harness as we decided what Molly would wear on a given day.

So, I went to Home Depot and had some metal tags printed with her township license number, her rabies vaccination number (and the vet's phone number).

Although the numbers change yearly, the cost was minimal, so now we have tags on each of her harnesses. My hub and I also have duplicate tags with our house and car keys.

So, for what it's worth, I thought I'd pass it along!

That is a good idea. One tag for everything. I have to get Houston's county tag because he just turned 1 but I cannot stand when you have 2 or 3 tags jingling.

Great idea. I didn't know Home Depot did that.

Maureen, that's a great idea. I keep the girls' tags on buckle collars that I rarely ever use. Doing what you did, we could carry the information with us no matter what form of control we are using on the dogs (leash, harness, collar, off-leash, etc.) The information would always be handy if it were required.
Thanks for sharing the idea.

I don't carry the tags because I'm always afraid I'll lose them. I do keep all the numbers with me in my handheld computer.

Great idea!
I just have name and phone number on a little metal tag on their collars. I keep the rabies license tag on their leash (so they have it on whenever we're out for a walk).
