Can you help keep a havanese rescue warm?

I thought I would put this in the General Discussion, as there are so many talented people on this forum and Havanese Rescue needs some help in keep some rescues warm this winter. Here is part of the email from Karen Grant. Sorry, somehow my original post went to some cloud out there...and this partial post posted...Thanks in advance if you can help. Flynn, Sir Winston and Lady Mia.

The DogManagementTeam is HOPPING crazy, soooo many dogs coming in (check out
our website! and we're adding more daily), lots of seniors)<:, some baby pups,
middle aged - all being cared for tenderly in our foster homes, all wishing for
homes of their own - we've gotten extra help with a bunch of the chores but we
still need some help if you're handy and have time to spare.
>
> Our supplies are dwindling and we need your help keeping our HRI pups warm up
north. Yes, winter is creeping up fast! One of my vices is Pinterest LOL and I
wonder if anyone has time and materials to make some of the sweaters I found
there for our pups in foster care? Write me privately if you're interested in
contributing to keeping a pup or two warm this winter - thanks!!

If we don't know how to knit can we donate supplies or $ somehow for this effort?

I am sure there is a way. This link will show you a sweater from a thrift store, and you just use a sleeve to make a sweater...no knitting involved. I am sure they would appreciate the fleece blankets also. I will get back with you.

How cute... I'm pretty sure even *I* of no crafty talents can do that! Thanks.

For how many dogs you need warm clothes? Which sizes do they have? Do they need the clothes to go outside in wet/snow wheather?

I am as well no knitter, but I could do the following:
I know that a lot of people in our German forum have dog clothes they do not need any longer... I could ask them to give it to me and then ship it to the US.

Interested?

Greetings from Nicole and Hilda

What a generous offer and thank you so very much. I think we would need to know the approximate costs of shipping to the US...if you could let me know what the shipping for 10 pounds would be we will see if we can pay for that or if it is too much. From your house to mine 307 Sequoia Trace, Cleveland, GA 30528, USA...and just give me an idea of the charges. I think the sizes would safely be clothing that would fit between 11 to 15 lbs, although, we would accept some up to 20 lbs. (Some of our dogs are bigger)
I can't tell you how much we appreciate this. Thanks you and hugs to Wild Hilda!!!
