How often do you feed your dog? Our havanese is almost 1.5 yrs and we still feed him in the morning and early evening. Is that the norm or do most only feed once a day?

That seems in line with everything I've read. I still do 3x a day because he's little (and eats less at each meal).

Leo eats basically 2x/day though I hold out some of his food to use for training which happens throughout the day.

Colbie started at 3x/day but hardly ate. Then we switched to twice a day and she actually ate more total and the past few days has ravenously finished her meals which she never did. We may give 3x a day a try again but I think for an adult dog 2x/day seems to very common.

Twice a day, morning and evening, with an occasional treat in between for various reasons. Tyler is 16+ and as an adult has always eaten twice a day. As a puppy, he ate three times a day, morning, noon and evening. I think that's the normal protocol for Havs.

Mine still gets 3 times a day, but only because he isn't consistent about which meal he doesn't (usually) eat, so he still gets offered breakfast, lunch and dinner. He usually only eats two of them (occasionally only one and occasionally he wants them all).
