Things I never imagined I'd have to do that my dog does NOT appreciate

I am unappreciated.

I have to do unpleasant things. Things that are MORE unpleasant for ME than for Brody. And you know what, he doesn't appreciate them one bit!!!

The ingrate! LOL

The most recent:

Brody was pooping and it only came out halfway. It seems like he either was eating paper towel (the most obvious choice given his obsession with all things paper) or a leaf and it was caught up in there.

So, mommy to the rescue! I had to grab something and then literally pull it out of his bottom so he could complete his poop. Thankfully no messy pooey bum, but assisting a bowel movement is not #1 on my list of fun activities!!

And my boy does not appreciate it!!

Doggy parenthood. Sheesh.

So, please share the unpleasant things you have to do that your dog doesn't appreciate!!

I don't have any in particular but most are in the potty department. Timmy always looks so sheepish when he gets a butt bath. I'm not sure about Mae yet but I'm sure that's only a matter of time.

LOL! The indignities!

Well, we've had a lot of rain lately in NC so there are WORMS everywhere. Ick. We came in from a walk yesterday and I went to dry Ludo's feet off. I saw something "sticky" in his fur. So I tried to get it and it wouldn't come off. Pulled on it and realized it was about a 6 inch worm I had to unwrap from his legs and from in-between his toes. It was alive.

The rain in NC this year has resulted in a very prolific population of slugs. Getting those slimy, squishy, yucky things out of Leo's fur is so gross! And the worms - Leo is always trying to eat them. Yuck to bits of earthworm in the beard!

Ugghhh, please don't mention worms. Most of our outdoor time is spent prying Colbie's jaws open so I can do a wormectomy.

That's what I told Brody! He wasn't impressed. ha ha

He'd assume the position...try to finish....run around looking for where it should have dropped...then assume the position again....it went on for a while before I gave him a helping hand. Of course he'd look at me like it was MY fault!

We made the mistake of giving Gibbs the use of our foyer for his "ex pen". We can no longer walk directly from the front door to the kitchen. We have to walk through the family room to get to the kitchen. Additionally, the foyer closet is in the middle of his space. We have to move his travel crate to get our coats, vacuum cleaner etc. Everytime we do, he gives us the "WTF are you doing in my house" look.
