Cool Mad at Mommy

While the whole family chips in on Bonnie and Duncan's care, I'm definitely their main caregiver. Anyway, I had a bit of surgery this week which has sent me on quite a recovery trip, so I've had to rely on lots of people to help out with my furbabies (as well as my house and human babies!). Everyone has been wonderful. 'Cept my precious pups seem a bit peeved at me: they keep giving me lots of loving and kisses, but have had 3 pee accidents on the floor. Someone even took a poo in my shoe outside!!! My goodness, could they cut Mommy some slack! I'm doing the best I can!! Can't help but feel a bit picked on!

Oh I am so sorry to hear you are unable to care for our babies!! I hope you feel better soon. We all know that no one watches, and knows the pups signals like we do!!

Feel better! Hopefully a speedy recovery. I bet your babies are as excited as you are for you to get well.

awww Donna, Not what you need right now!!!! I think they are just feeling a bit insecure with the change in the primary care-giver. In the long run this will be a good thing giving everyone in the house more status in their eyes. You might want to have your DH and children trying crating them a bit more. They may need to feel a bit more secure while you are recovering. My Vet recommended this for Jasper when my DH was going away for two weeks- all of a sudden perfectly trained Jassy had some poo accidents on the bed. SHe suggested he just needed to feel secure with DH gone -- and low and behold I pulled out the crate from the spare room and no question -- he wanted the crate not the bed- and all was well again.

I wish you a speedy recovery!!!

Donna, hope you have a speedy recovery. The furbabies are just confused because the alpha isn't leading them right now. Things will get better as you do.

I wish you a quick recovery.

Dogs aren't really capable of anger or revenge against their owners, but they are definitely impacted by the change in their routine. Take care.

Cru is the pout master. If we are gone for too long (in his opinion) he will be SOOOOO happy to see us at first, but THEN, we get ignored until he is finished being huffy.
Then he will lay kinda close, but not let you pet him. Then he sloooowly schooches over, till he decides we have been punished enough.
