What 'phrases' does your hav know?

I mean like when you say something, your dog knows exactly what you mean.
For an example, when i say 'who's there' Chester sprints to the door barking.
Chester:
1. Who's there?
2. What was that?
3. I gotta treat!
4. Ya wanna go outside?
5. Awww, puppy. (It makes him act sweet)
please share yours

Hav to hav a Hav!!!

Many, many. The older they get, the more English they understand.

The more complex phrases he knows are:

Go get your ball. (Goes to get ball)
Go get your toy. (Gets something other than ball from toy basket)
Let's wake up the girls! (Knows to go to the stairs where we go up to put him on the girls bed so he can wake them with kisses.)
Go to your room. (His x-pen)
Want to get some treats? (time to go to the rug to train)
Time for nite nite. (Goes to crate but only if we're in bedroom)

And naturally I swear he understands everything I say to him.

I agree. I couldn't even start to list all the phrases Kodi understands. He's also VERY good at picking up relevant words in a conversation that pertain to him. For instance, If I'm talking to Dave about what I'll be doing during the day, and say that we've got agility class, Kodi is up and ready to go!!! The interesting thing is that he also understands "Not quite yet!" and will settle again until the appropriate time. Now, whether he REALLY understands that as "Later", or not is questionable. My scientific brain is not at all sure that dogs understand or experience time as we do. But he CERTAINLY understands that the phrase means "Not now."

One of the funniest things of this type that I've heard recently is when we were staying with my brother in Maine for a few days. He asked if we wanted to go for an "Ambulation". Huh? It turns out that their Sheltie, Sammy, was going SO nuts when they talked about going for a "walk", that they had started to spell it. That had worked for a few weeks, then it, too, became a source of over-excitement. I wouldn't take bets on how long "ambulation" works!
