Gryff starting classes

Wow, I've really missed the board. Has it been down all this time or was it just me?

I went to my friends house down the street for a pre-Super Bowl party and my son let Gryff off the leash too soon. Gryff ran all the way back to my house criss crossing the street. I freaked. So, we are starting obedience classes next week. I called a guy in the town next to mine and he suggested this $900 program he has where he would take Gryff for two weeks and train him. I would have to go 5 times in the two weeks so I could learn from him. No thanks. I couldn't go without my pooch for that long. So I found another place that does weekly hour long lessons. I'll keep you all posted.

Wow, never heard of something like that. I couldn't do it either. Big $$ too.

I think it was just you. I have had problems before and had to reset my modem and wireless router and it works again. Maybe that is the issue.

My brother and SIL used a training program like that for their lab. Not my thing. I couldn't turn my dog over for 2 weeks. No way. Especially not these little companion animals who thrive on being with people.

I have known people who have sent their dogs to those programs. Often, they sell dogs as well. I think a very special bond is created with your dog as you train them. Also you probably wouldn't like the way they train your dog in many of those programs.
