Doggie Day Care

Does anyone have any experience with Day Care for doggies? Cazzie is still having s/a problems here in Florida. I visited a Day Care and thought the people that ran it were very nice; however, I don't know how competent they are. It is a combination kennel/day care/groomer. I was shown the day care area. Little dogs were kept separate from big dogs. In the little dog area, there were four little guys - three doxies and a Jack Russel playing together. They could go inside or outside on their own. They seemed happy. Cazzie plays well with other dogs, in fact, he loves to play with friendly dogs. My concerns: will somehow he get out, would he get taken by someone (stolen, I guess I mean), will the dog play get out of control? The rules say no agressive or unneutered dogs are allowed, and they must be on flea control. I can drop him off there for as long as I like, if I want to go out to eat or shop...

The charge was $10 a day or less for half a day and I can drop him off without an appointment during their open hours. I think this is a very reasonable alternative to having him be anxious and barking in our mobile home. I tried Rescue Remedy drops and can't really say they work. Other people swear by them! Just wondering if anyone had experience or advice about day care. (I realize each facility is different.)

I considered it for my dog Asta not because of S?A just because of boredom and letting him play with other dogs ..
I really liked the facility they seemed organied and it was very clean and the dogs were definelty supervised but the only problem was that there were no small dogs enrolled ..
All large dogs .. So I passed ..
I would make sure they require Bordadella ( kennel cough ) as well as flea control .. My vet insisted that our dogs have it even just to go to puppy class ..
Maybe you could try him there one day and ask to be able to observe him - just for your reassurance ..
