I have combs and brushes but I am wondering about scissors etc for cutting hair. I just might try doing it myself

Great thread! Having this all in one place would be nice.

Oh Cindy, please tell me about your large comb. Where did you get it? Do you know the brand?

I use a CC pin brush and a rotating comb. I couldn't live without them. I also have a blunt scissor for trimming around feet. I use a cuticle scissor to trim in between the pads.

Cindy, are those the Greyhound combs in that pic? How do they differ from other combs?

I have the rotating comb marked F.

Michele,
Is Greyhound a brand or a type of comb?
These are Chris Christensen combs. I bought them at 3 C's at a dog show. They are pricey but work so well! Here's the link where you can get them online:

or www.showdogstore.com

Cindy, OMG! I can't live without the dematting comb!! I love, love, love that fatty comb! I've been thinking about posting about it lately. Thanks for showing yours! Rufus' coat has gotton so thick that a brush only touches the top layer. That dematting comb is the first thing I grab to start working through his coat. You've got a great collection of combs!

I much prefer the combs over brushes to keep their hair matt-free. Is that an oxymoron? Hair matt free? At almost 10 months, I'm wondering?! LOL
