BREAKTHROUGHS

Hello: I am back at work today- My husband is home with the boys- I must admit it is nice to have a break after 5 intense days with the new baby-- But yesterday we had several breakthroughs. After being caught in the act mid day and corrected--- it all of a sudden seemed to click with Cash where he should go. Very cute you can see his little brain going.

Also last night, Cash and Jasper played, really played, and Jas my sweet, submissive, incredibly gentle boy even tried to show the puppy who was boss. Didn't last long- but at least he was feeling his oats. The puppy on the other hand is somewhat learning that there are enough toys to go around and he doesn't always have to have what jasper has in his mouth. (until last night every time Jasper finally relaxed enough to chew a toy, Cash would come and take it- and Jas would just drop and look at the puppy and then look at me- same thing with treats)

But most importantly, Jasper is eating. Which is one of the main reasons we got a 2nd dog. You may recall that Jas is a very finicky eater. I have cooked for him, used the raw diet cooked, bought kibble after kibble. But since Cash arrived on the scene- Jas has been eating his food quicker and more consistantly. And last night and this morning after Cash was done eating his puppy food- Jasper went in and finished up the rest. Cash didn't seem to mind.

I also had a breakthrough, I saw glimmers of how good this will be for Jas

thanks for listening,

Missy

See, we told you they would work it all out. I found the same thing with eating. Kodi is such a poor eater, but it got much better after Shelby came along. She is a food hound. However, now that she has been here awhile, Kodi is not feeling as threatened and sometimes still will not eat. One good thing is that he is eating a bit more kibble than wet food.
Keep the faith

Missy,

I just knew things were going to get better. I am so glad that Jasper is eating better and playing with Cash. You'll see, pretty soon they will be the best of friends.

break-thRoughs

Hi Everyone, how embarrassing to have mis-spelled break-throughs.

One more story--Yesterday, while my husband was home watching the boys we had Cable guys come to our house. Jasper did his usual bark, bark when they first came in but once Michael greeted them was fine. But they went back out to thier truck and when they came back in Michael wasn;t there to great them, so they just came in ---Jas met them half way and warned them and then went and stood right outside Cash's Pen and barked and barked and growled and barked as Michael had never heard him bark before with a guard dog stance. Who knew Jas would be such a good little shepard protecting his new little brother. Michael said NO and calmed him down and all was well again. But they continue to have more fun daily- and Cash is really coming along in his potty training.

Missy, it only gets better!

We had a bit of bad weather last night, and today we are getting a sleet storm. So my Mom put the coats on the dogs to let them out. But, I guess they thought she was getting them ready to come to work with me, and they wouldn't budge. Well, hubby called and said don't come in, the weather is to bad. So I took the coats off the dogs and the first thing they did was run to the back door to go out - no coats, just au natural. They ran around like crazy in the sleet for 20 mins. Now they are both asleep.
