Bad Doggie

You may remember a few months ago when Gryff ate my husband's glasses. He ruined the lenses, but the frames were intact, albeit with a few bite marks. My husband replaced the lenses for about $300. Today, those glasses are toast. He left them on the nightstand again and again Gryff decided that they were a tasty treat.

The lucky thing is that not long after DH got his glasses fixed, he decided he was sick of them and bought another pair. Thank goodness he has a back up and Gryff didn't touch that pair. Still, I am very pleased that I still have a dog. I was slightly worried that he would come home, find his glasses in ruins, and write up an ad on Craigslist!

Well that is an accomplishment! Dora was a chewer when she was younger too! Isabelle never chewed anything so when I got Dora, I thought she could have a lot more room than she should have had. She probably chewed up 6 pairs of my shoes and one of DH's laptop bags (arguably he did leave a turkey sandwich inside it!) Then the finality came when she chewed up the floor molding on our house! That is when we went out and bought bitter apple, made areas off limits and really buckled down! Now, she is older and doesn't touch anything! But boy oh boy do I remember that you have to be kidding me stage of finding Dora's latest chew!

Oh yes, MeMe's very good at chewing eyeglasses. I now keep them in my robe pocket at night or hang them from the front of my PJs. I wonder if keeping them in a case might help.

Amanda, you are so right, you do fall in love with that little puppy face pretty quick.

Oh no, Craigslist? Well, maybe one of us forum members could claim him until your hubby can forgive him....

These guys just have such sweet faces. It really is hard to stay mad for long!

My head just went numb... DEJA VU all over again!

Seems that hub has forgotten his..."ire" at Molly's feasting on HIS glasses...the "cute" really DOES work in their favor! But OMG! I CRINGE everytime (about 75 times a day!) when I hear, "Have you seen my glasses?"

First thing I do is to check Molly's teeth!

The Contractor who's doing our bathrooms just came downstairs a little while ago and asked if I'd seen the vent plug...started helping him look, and noticed Molly and Billy on my hub's chair, NEXT to each other, and I swear they were SMILING!

Long story short: contractor had to go buy a new one...oy

I am a teeth grinder and Marley is constantly trying to get my night guard (and it's a $500 one from the dentist). He managed to get to it once, but didn't ruin it all the way...I am waiting for the day he will finish it off.............

Kona's a shoe chewer...not just any shoes... MY sandals. He leaves hubby and the kids shoes alone, but oh boy.... mommy leaves her sandals out, and look out.. it's time to party!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope he gets out of that stage soon. I am really sorry it was your hubby's glasses.. WAY more expensive than my flip flops
