Not sure if anyone has heard of this... I've been looking for ways to prevent any separation anxiety in my soon-to-be new pup while I'm at work. I was going to purchase some anti-anxiety cd's and a boom box and then I came upon this! DogTV...a tv station made especially for dogs. The sights, the sounds, the music, all scientifically proven to be attractive to dogs. This is normally something I would chuckle about, but being in my current situation, it might just be exactly what he needs!!! It sounds/looks pretty neat. Here the link:

I have always just left the tv on in the family room and a radio talk show on in the kitchen when we are gone.( turned down low) Never had any problems. I think the human voice is a good soothing sound in general for them to hear. Just my opinion. Granted I don't work, but there are times when we may be gone for 6 hours. She just sleeps.

This sounds so helpful, especially for so many dogs that usually left at home alone and dogs experiencing separation anxiety.

In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semi human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog. ~Edward Hoagland
