A Funny Molly Story
As some of you know, we've been undergoing some major construction in our house that has seemed to go on FOREVER! The construction crew (some really nice Italian guys with REALLY, REALLY strong accents) has started to feel like "family"!
Molly is so excited every morning when they arrive, and she and Billy get some really serious play-time during breaks. These guys have come to adore Havs...they've been teaching Molly and Billy commands...in Italian!
Well, today I was having lunch in the kitchen, and Molly was lying next to me near the door. I heard the one guy coming down the stairs...I keep the coffee going and they've become accustomed to coming and going as they please.
As the guy (I'll call him "Angelo") came walking towards me, complete with huge tool belt and a pencil behind his ear, it was difficult to NOT notice that his shirt tail was sticking out of his zipper (the tool belt was keeping him from seeing it...also has a big beer belly!).
So I'm looking up, I'm looking sideways, I'm looking at the floor, all the while trying to figure out how the hell I'm gonna' handle this. I'm thinkin' "just let it be...one of the other guys has to notice and tell him".
Just at that point, I see Molly's head go up, her ears stand up, and she starts doing the Hav belly crawl towards Angelo! She loves him and he always hugs her and scrungles her head, but I KNEW what she saw, and my head went numb...
Sure enough, Molly stands up on her back legs, takes hold of the shirt tail in her mouth, and starts to back up, pulling like it's her stuffed octopus (OK...I left myself wide open on that one...no pun intended)!
Angelo looks down and screeches like a five-year-old girl in the playground, "MADDONE! MAMA FREAKIN' MIA! OH ****!"
Well, we didn't see Angelo again 'til quitting time...
PS...Having told my hub the story while he was at work, my hub came downstairs after changing when he got home. You guessed it! Shirt tail out in all its glory! Molly was happy! (And no...you can't judge a man by the size of his tool belt...)
