washing her fav toy ..oh no

Whimsy has two favorite toys and one of them is all cloth. I had to sneak the cloth one away this morning and give it a washing in the sink...it was so gross. Well she didn't know what I was doing until the darn thing squeaked when I wrung the water out of it. She came running so I quickly wrapped it in a towel and threw it in the dryer. She saw me do it and wasn't happy at all! She keeps walking over to me and then walking over to the dryer, sitting in front of it and whimpering. ( giving me pathetic looks too) LOL..It reminds me of when I had to sneak my daughters blankey away and wash it. She just hated that it smelled clean and told me I had washed all the good smells out of it. I imagine Whimsy will feel the same way when I take it out of the dryer and give it to her.

LOL Poor whimsy!

My mom and dad had a Bichon who was a bit obsessive about his toys. When they were destroyed to the point of no more repair and had to be taken away it was horrible. He'd cry and cry and cry and go over to wherever the toy had been taken to and sit there forever waiting for his toy to come back. There was no sneaking them away either. And he'd remember. If you initially stashed it in some obscure, rarely used cupboard and then months later went back to the cupboard he'd get all excited wanting his toy back and then start crying again.

Hahaha..They are just like little kids. I had to dump one of Whimsy's favorite toys a while back and replaced it with one just like it. Nope..no fooling her. She eventually picked 2 new favorite toys..this cloth one being one of them. Hope I can keep it going for a while.

Cute picture, I can just hear her now. I've been doing a lot of blanket washing since we have laminate floors and Mae enjoys playing with her toys on them. When I put a clean one down Timmy runs over and rolls and rubs his face all over it, Mae just looks at him like he's crazy. I hope her toy comes out okay or you will be in BIG trouble!

Well..it turned out just fine thank goodness! She snatched it right up when I opened the dryer door and carried it off to check it out. To me it smelled nice and clean...to her, well, I'm sure I washed out all the' good smells. lol. I'm so glad it didn't fall apart in the process.

Awwww, poor Whimsy!! I can so see her thinking "Why did you have to put in the dryer? It's gonna get ruined! Take it out now!"

When I take Chester's favorite toy out of the dryer (a plush, white cat that is somehow still surviving ) he almost doesn't think it's his toy anymore because it is clean.
