I took Maryam's lead and opted to not get anyone worried about Tori's spay. Yesterday was the big day and she did very well. The greatest relief is that her blood work was, in the words of her vet, "Absolutely perfect! Exactly the kind of numbers we like to see." YES!!!
When we brought her home last evening, she was walking v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y and wouldn't lie down anywhere. All she did was stand with her head down
Eventually, I put the onesie on her and took her to bed. For the most part, she did ok. I had snapped the onesie closed, so at 2 AM she woke me whimpering. I unsnapped it, she pottied on her pad, I snapped it up and she went back into her crate and slept until 6.
This AM she's eaten a decent breakfast, but refused to take her liver-flavored pain meds nicely
(the vet assured me she'd "lap it right up", yeah, right...) so, I had to force her to take it. She was excited to see my daughter and the grandkids when they came by but, you can tell she's a far cry from being 100%. Thank goodness I can stay home w/her all day and be her nurse.
Here's a pic taken this morning.
