puppy cut

I have to admit that I am probably the world's laziest groomer and b/c of that I never properly socialized Desilu for grooming and b/c of THAT, he's a nightmare to try to brush. Being lazy about it, I let him get away with it. So every month or so I take him to the groomer and she's shaves him back to his puppy cut and tells me to brush him more. Its so bad that another handler in our agility class (who is a groomer) brought her combs and scissors to class the other night too trim him up.

I keep dogs with these gorgeous coats. Anyone besides me resorting to the puppy cut?

We live in a small town that uses A LOT of gravel in the winter to keep the roads driveable. Because of this we have very muddy springtimes, hence the puppy cut for Taz. I still groom him every couple of days because he loves it, but without the puppy cut he is a magnet for mud, sticks, leaves etc. I think they look adorable when they have the shorter hair, so puppy-like.
