Question Need (doggie bed issue)

Our neighbor bought a new BIGGER bed for her two poms today, and brought their smaller one over for Kona. So--- we gave it to him to see if he liked it... and... b/c his little white pom friend is a girl, he's sniffing, digging, dragging, licking it all over the house. Will he stop this, and use it? Can I wash it?
oh boy!

I would think that if you washed it a couple of times maybe that would help...not too sure though they have a keen sense of smell. He probably wants her to join him in bed!!!lololol

Megan shame on you... Brooke I would try washing it, Kona could also be very interested because it is new to him. Riley goes crazy when ever he gets something new.

I just always make it a practice to wash anything I give away, and anything that's a hand-me-down...

But, hey! At least your little guy isn't learning about the birds and the bees in the locker room!

She said she washed it. So I know it's CLEAN, but you know how things get scents, and dogs pick them up ~ I am gonna try washing it again... and rolling around on it for a while to get OUR SCENT on it...

Brady just spent the night at his breeder's house (actually her mother's, but it is all the same). I took his bed with for him to sleep on and the first thing all of the other dogs did was lay in it and rub all over it. I think they just need to get their own scent on it. I babysat for my breeder last weekend (she had a wedding and doesn't leave the dogs for that long alone) and when I came home, Brady was going crazy with my clothes. I got changed and he was rolling all over my jeans that I had been wearing. I think that if you wash the bed and give it a day or two, he will move on from going crazy over it.
