Do you guys wash your doggie toys?

Hey all!!! I just found some poop on some toys where Betzie hid and went....little booger. I put them in the washer with a little bit of laundry detergent. I hope that is ok. I am going to wash all the other toys that would not go in the wash..like all the plastic toys. I never really thought of cleaning them but when I thought about it and everything goes in there mouths. I was wondering what all your thoughts were!!!! I hope that all the toys will come out the same. Little Betzie just started going up the stairs from outside the other day. Today it was raining and she went potty and came right back to the door. She said mommy I do not like the rain. She is good girl even with all the potty accidents....which really are mommy and daddy's fault but don't tell her that!!! She is laying on daddy's lap right now,

Yup!
I run all of mine thru the washing machine on a regular basis. I use laundry soap and a touch of bleach. I either wash the plastic ones right along with the plush ones, or sometimes I will run the plastic ones thru the dishwasher~

I wash them too. Not on a regular basis, only when I notice a particularly dingy looking one, I will pick up the ones I think need cleaning and throw them in the washer.

I wash them. They seem to get dirty pretty fast so I just throw them in the washer once a week or so. The little squirrels like the one Kubrick has in the avatar pics are looking a little less fluffy...they have been washed a lot.

i just discovered it was ok to wash toys, even the sqeeky ones, and that they seem fine out of the wash & dryer.

i slept in a bit last week and mugsy decided to use his favourite plush toy as a fire hydrant.

Me, too!

Every couple of weeks I throw the plush toys into a net bag and do them on the "Hand Wash" cycle...I dry them in the dryer, as well.

The other stuff goes into the dishpan, they soak in dishwasher detergent, and then get spray-rinsed.

Usually Molly sits on a kitchen chair next to the sink and watches her toys like a HAWK! Molly and Billy are the only ones who play with the stuff, but I just want to keep things healthy for them!

Molly's pink bay-window pillow has to be washed when she's outside...she gets a little freaky if she sees me take it to the laundry room!

Yes and Pam even found some replacement squeakers which she sews back in with heavy sailmakers thread and wraps in Cordura. They last a lot longer wrapped in ballistic nylon inside the toy.

Yes, I wash them regularly, especially since Lizzie tends to take them out in the yard and leaves them strewn all over the deck and patio..

Better not be tellin' all the other pups about THAT! THAT'S what I call a really dedicated Mommy...our house rule is: SQUEAKER OUT, DITCH THE TOY!

The only lobotomies I do are on Molly's absolute favorite toys!

I also wash the toys.I throw them all in the washer/dryer.....latex / plastic /all. If they do not survive,I throw them out...

There are a few special talking ones that I just use a damp cloth on...otherwise they'd be ruined in the washer.
