My newest project....the grooming table...

Just thought I would share this with everyone. I didn't want to spend a lot on a grooming table and don't have a lot of room in my house for another table so I thought I would just try to make one. So I took some wood I had lying around and some spray paint, etc and threw this together. I know its not perfect, but I think it will definitely serve its purpose. It is a 24"x36" fold-down table that I topped with a cheap piece of rubber like you would put in your cabinets. I still have some more shelving to put in it and some little hangers to organize the supplies. Also, still have a little paint touch-up to do. ...ugh...then its clean up time...

Wow! My husband would love to see this. And you didn't just throw this together. Very nice. Did you see this somewhere and copy or is it an original design?

LOL...I guess it really wasn't "thrown together" per say. I did have to buy a couple things at the store. I'll admit my first attempt at building it didn't go so well, but that was probably due to one too many beers on my day off. After that, it all came together well. I just used old wood and shelving I had laying around so the design sort of created itself as I went. I didn't base it off anything and due to the size of the table top I used, it left room to create the shelf at the top. Thanks for all the compliments!!!

I can't tell from the photo, but do you have some sort of non-skid surface on the table portion?

Yes, I just put down an inexpensive rubber matting like you would line the bottom of your cabinets with. I put just a touch of adhesive spray under it....enough to hold it in place when the table is raised up.

Oooooo that's so nice! Can you come over and build one for me? That's a great solution for those that don't have a lot of room for a grooming table. I consider myself creative but I could never do something like that, plus I'm afraid of power tools.
